Which Printer Should I Choose?

Did you having a problem when you decide to buy a printer? Basically we can find three type of printer in the market which is inkjet printer, laser printer and multifunction printer that can scan and fax alongside printing. Depending on how the device is to be used, the various models have specific advantages and disadvantages.

Inkjet Printers
Inkjet printers mostly used for personal and in house work, because it price is cheaper than other type of printer.

One of the disadvantages of inkjet printer is the fine colour drops that inkjet spray can lead to smudging of the ink. Sometimes you need to use special paper to get a good quality printing in colour. You also have risk of the print heads clog and the ink dry out if you rarely use the inkjet printer.

The inkjet printers also take several minutes to printout one standard A4 paper. Ink for colour printing come with three basic colour in one cartridge, if one of them run out, you need to change the entire cartridge.

If you want to use printer at home for printing in small quantities and don’t bother about the printing quality, then the inkjet printer is better for you because it is cheaper.

Laser Printers
Laser printer using a fine powder and melted it with the heat onto the paper, its more clean and sharper. Printout a standard A4 paper takes about 20-30 seconds.

The laser printers come with black and white option or black and white with colour printing option. Laser printers with colour printing option are more expensive. Other part to be replaced is photoconductor drum after 10,000 to 30,000 pages.

If you want a quick black and white printout in large quantities, then the laser printers is better for you.

Multifunction Printers
This printer combines three devices (printer, fax and scanner) into one device and it’s good to save your working space. This type of printers is better for private or small business used.

The disadvantages of this device are, when one of it functions failed others function also failed.
