Computer Help - Maintained Your Computer for Best Performance

Over time, computers performance will degrade, which can slow down your computer. Regular maintained a computer can increase the computer performance to it’s high level.

This is regular tips to maintained your computer performances:

1. A physical cleaning at least twice a year. Dust can blocked vents and also slow down your main CPU fan or other fan inside your computer case, that can make your computer CPU overheated. Also check to see that all cards, memory and drive cables are properly seated (make sure the power is disconnected and that you are properly grounded).

2. Remove all unnecessary software and programs. Remove items from the start menu that are unneeded. Too many start menu items use up system resources, and because they run in the background you usually don’t see them.

3. Empty temporary Internet files. Minimize the number of toolbars you run on your browser. Check around and find out which browsers use fewer resources (example Mozilla Firefox), especially if you are running an older machine.

4. Defragment your hard drive and run error checking.

5. On a weekly basis, run your antivirus/antispyware software. Make sure to update your software everytime you run it, antivirus/antispyware updates are crucial.

If running a Windows machine, do a Windows Automatic Updates. You can set this a few different ways.

If you take care of your computer it can last a long time. Hopefully these tips will help you in doing so.

What software do you recommend for removing unused programs? Just the Windows software manager or something else?

P.S. How do you find Advertlets going?

    Hello, welcome to my site,

I always used normal method using “add remove program” at control panel, after that I used ccleaner to clean my registery, because as you know, there is some file in registry left behind even after you removed/uinstall programs using “add remove program”.

    try download it here: http://www.ccleaner.com/

If you want to try this software please read carefully the instruction and make sure you do a backup on your computer. Maybe next time I will write about this software.

I also still new on Advertlets, not sure how it going, also never check the stats since I install it at my site :)
